Hello, I just wanted to let you know that we used your axles on our car
Saturday at our District Pinewood Derby, there were 46 cars total in the
race and we came in 2nd place!. My Nephew was thrilled, he got a 2nd
place trophy. We used your axles, and I am very pleased, your axles were a
big part of how well the car ran, and we thank you guys very much.

This year we came in 2nd place in our den. We weighed in 4.9 oz, maybe if
we had of weighed in at 5 oz we would have done better. I am satisfied, we
have won the den the past 2 years so it was time for someone else. Next

Tonight was the race, the car I bought with the axles and tires came in first
place out of the open race (which my 5 yr old was is) he isn't a scout yet.
The other set of wheels and axles were for my 7 yr old who's car we made,
It was awarded 1st place in overall speed out of 33 cars. Its amazing the
difference the tires and axles make. I want to thank you for helping me
make this a great thing for the kids. I look forward to buying from you

Thanks again for the fast shipment of your complete car kit. Your extra
effort and hard work paid off as we won first place for our den and second
place overall. Out of 13 races, we placed 1st in 11 and 2nd in two.

I just gotta let you know that after getting an arguable 2nd place at our
dens derby, my son took 1st place at our district event! It was a top notch
event with electronic timing and all cars being ran on each lane and then
averaged, it couldn't have been any more fair. I used your polished axles
and mold matched wheels, not the speed wheels, I just sanded off the
casting flash. No tricks either, all four wheels were evenly touching the
track! All I can say is THANK YOU for making my Boy the happiest Ive
seen him in a very long time! You guys are Top Notch at what you do!!

It was really cool to see our "truck" beat out all the slim wedges and flat
bodied cars. The weight is plenty far back on that truck style as it was
doing wheelies for most of the heats. And it still took 1st place! Unreal!

Finished our race last weekend and both my son and I were winners on
your Pinewood Derby Den axles and wheels.
My son (Tiger Cub) took first in his den and 3rd in the pack (of 35) using
the Polished (legal) axles and mold-matched wheels.
My car (Akela Race) took 1st in the pack (of 12 dads / siblings) using the
equipment - and I beat them by about .2 tenths of a second.
Both cars had a liberal amount of Hob-E-Lube applied as well :)
In the attached photo his car is the Boba Fett (Star Wars) racer and mine is
the Shark. Thanks PWDD and I look forward into racing with your gear
again next year!!

Took first place in our den. Then we finished the night being the grand

We bought the mold matched speed wheels and the polished axles. My
sons car took first place today out of about 35 cars. He won every race he
was in. It wasn't even close. Thanks a bunch. We'll definitely be back for

The car was awesome. He beat everyone there. It was painted green with a
gold tint to it and had flames. I'll try to send pictures. He is now going to
district this weekend. The car was so fast that it jumped the ramp at the
end. I'll keep u posted about this weekend.

Hello,
I just wanted to tell you that I made a car for my five year old daughter for
the district outlaw race with your forstner wedge body. I weighted it with
tungsten and used h wheels with grooved axles. She placed second in the
outlaw race. The only car that beat her was my detonator design car. She
was very happy. I decided to try your body for her car. Thank you for
helping to make my daughter very happy. By the way, I painted her car
pink with purple dolphin stickers. The boys laughed when they saw her car.
They didn't laugh when the racing was done. I plan on racing our three
cars next month too. I will keep you informed.

My boys just completed their derby races this weekend. Both took 1st
place in their division, My youngest son's car was so fast it obliterated a 9
year standing track record with a time of 2.457 seconds. It was finishing at
least 7 car lengths in front of the others. It had all the other dads accusing
us of using oil on our axles. I allowed all of them to inspect the car closely.
All just shrugged their shoulders and left astonished.

My second son won 1st place in his division, and a trophy. My wife was
beyond herself and actually called me at work to thank me for helping the
kids. Our 1st son, came in 3rd to two of his friends who's fathers built their
cars. I insist that our kids design, build and finish their own cars. I am very
proud of both of them. They did terrific and with your wheels and axles
they went up against the "Big Boys" and made a terrific showing of their
efforts. I will be in touch soon to purchase 2 more sets and I will be
starting much earlier in the next season to prep the cars.

We ran the axles and wheels on my sons 10oz car that was a for fun race at
the end of the normal derby. The car did very well and took second place.
The axles and wheels worked very well. Next year I will invest in a wheel
alignment and placement tool for sure. I think I may have had to wheels to
loose on the car. Thank you, my son had a blast and loved how fast the car
was.

This year (our second) was the one! We used your car kit with polished
axles and speed wheels and graphite lube. At the start of the race it
was neck and neck, then my sons car just took off and rolled ahead of
the other cars in every heat. We won first in his class and over all.
It was great!! I was so proud and he has never been more excited.

I should of e-mailed you this past year to let you know that using your
guidance and legal tips my Son won his district competition. Many people
asked what our secret was. I shared that your guidance was unique in that
it provided sound advise and most importantly it was legal and guided me
on how to teach my Son many sound principles that I had the knowledge of
from "real racing" that I had the difficulty sharing in a legal manner.
Your current tip was an eye opener, I had shared with my Son that
alignment of the car in the starting gate was critical and let it go at that.
Many spectators talked about how cute it was that he was so precise in
setting his car in the gate. I was just proud that he had absorbed the
advise. At his district race he won all but one race in his heat. However
because his car consistently was quicker across all lanes he won and we got
to experience the surprise of having been the winner. Thanks for your
commitment and for making this both fun and successful!

Last year, some parents approached me to help them with axles, wheels,
and weighting which I gladly assisted. This year, they want me to teach a
class (or classes). Since I have not mastered the production of perfect axles
nor do I have the proper tools, I usually go to sellers (like your self) and
buy legal, finished (polished) axles. This year when parents come to me, I
will have an axle supply to sell. Just so you know, I promise that these
axles will not be sold on EBay only within our local Pack. Last year, I
made the mistake of buying “MONSTER” axles and quickly learned they
were not manufactured from official BSA axles. What a disappointment!!!
I actually built a car using them and sold it on E Bay, but later found out it
was disqualified because of the “MONSTER” axles. The experience broke
my heart, therefore I‘am not selling finished cars anymore.

HOORAY!! Just letting you know, we placed 2nd place. It was neck and
neck and we actually beat the winner a few races, but the times were
averaged for placement. The funny thing is, the winner had the same kit
as ours!! Thanks, it felt good going from last place last year, to 2nd place

down the top four cars - apparently looking for those who had grooved
axles. We had your legal axles so we were okay. We lost first place by .
001 By the way, the other car I assisted with, purchased from you took a
first place for our Fire Chief.

WOW! We really owe you a big THANK YOU ! It was really
unbelievable...We are in North Carolina the area to where all the big
NASCAR teams call home. It is an understatement to say they take any
type of racing vary serious, its a way of life around hear.
With your help and your fine components we were able to build a super
fast derby car. Allen was so happy when he won First place in the Wolf's
Den, but when he went on to win Fastest over all for the Whole pack we
were in shock. But wait that's not the last of it. We went to District and
took home yet another first place trophies. It was the icing on the cake.
We'll be back again next season to try to repeat this year season...

After 3 years of ending up in the bottom 5 of over 70 cars,( we placed 68th
last year!) I was fed up with having to console my son and apologize for my
lack of skills and tools. This year, his younger brother raced as well, and I
had two cars to help build, and as far as I could predict, two little boys to
disappoint and then console. I purchased your axles for the cars; I confess
I was a doubter and hoped it might help us at least not be dead last. To my
awe and delight, not only did both boys each win 7 out of their 8 races, they
both took home medals... I am a believer! Thank you for being there for
moms like myself who simply do not have the tools available to help their
sons improve their cars’ performance. We WILL be back! I have attached
a picture of the boys with their medals.

Took 2nd place in Commanders division on March 11th Came down to my
car and another we had to race 6 times with one tie before he finally took
first away from me. Until then my car had not lost a race. All I can say is
GREAT WHEELS AND AXLES!!!!!!!!!!

I am a Den Leader for pack 469 and I am impressed with your auction. I
have looked at your competitors auction and all of the comments they
posted on the axles with no mention of BSA regulations. It appears that
there is a fair amount of parents that ignore the values that BSA stands for
and attempts to teach young boys and men about moral character. I am
encouraged to see that there are sellers on Ebay that actually remind
buyers of these principles. I will place you on my favorite sellers list for my

We recently bought one of your per-cut kits and upgraded to the legal
polished axles. We've always had very competitive cars in the past (always
medal), but we've always done it with conventional axles with wax and
graphite. This year's car was a man among boys, and my son took first
place going away. The car is SCARY fast. However, the story itself is very
interesting.
In his first and second "den" heats his car won by at least two car lengths,
which is huge in an event like this. At the end of the second race his car hit
the end padding with such force that it flipped in the air and into the path
of the two trailing cars which PLOWED into my son's car, bending the two
axles on the left side and splitting the wood by the front right wheel causing
it to come off. This only happened because it was traveling so fast and was
so far in front. We pushed the wheel back on and ran it in the third heat,
but it finished second due to the extensive damage.
After the heat we were allowed to quickly repair the broken area with some
5 minute epoxy and pry the other wheels (with the bent axles) away from
the body. However, the parent of the second fastest car filed a protest
about a repair taking place, and the officials incorrectly decided
disqualified my son's car. We were devastated, but we were consoled by
the fact that his damaged car continued to run (they had a computer
determined order that would be hard to modify for a DQ) and win. To
make a long story short, eventually he was reinstated (it was determined
later that the repair was legal) and will be awarded a first place medal and
trophy posthumously. I have attached a picture of this speed burner from
the quarter-finals. Here it is beating two very fast cars going away. I've
already ordered another set of axles from you for next year "just in case".

Thank you so much. The car you built for us was absolutely GREAT. It

and we finished first in every one of them. Now we are heading to District
Feb 12th. The Scout Leaders were talking among themselves and they

Thanks for a great product. I used your axles and wheels on my sons car
and the cars myself and my daughter built. We did not win, but were very
competitive. I did not graphite our wheels before impound, because they
used to let you graphite wheels prior to first race. They stopped that this
year, and I guess they mentioned it at a pack meeting, but I do not attend
those because I work nights. Anyway, the three cars ran 3.08, 3.10 and
3.11. The winning cars ran 3.02 3.04 and 3.06. The same family took 1st
and 2nd in scouts class and 1st in Outlaw class. Of course I ran that car
1st round so thought my car was slow until I started beating everyone after
that. The last round where it would have been third or fourth I raced a 6
yr old girl who I could tell, actually built her car. I put my car as sideways
as I could on the track and still almost beat her. It felt good to give her the
3rd place trophy. My son took 5th and my daughters outlaw car was first
round 2nd place and some how ended up racing the fastest car shortly
again because there were an odd number of cars. Not sure how that
worked. Thanks again.

Me I got second place in sudden death I won in one lane then the other guy
one in one lane (we have to race in one lane then race in opposite lanes) so
we tied so we went to the two center lanes and raced just once for that and
he beat me 3.004 to 3.005 very close so I got 2nd place in the outlaws and
got a trophy for that and a ribbon for 3rd place for best looking car got
beat out by a guy that had put a model car engine on top of his although he
had the slowest car people liked the looks of his car best I guess although
everybody said they thought mine looked the best it was just like my sons
with 10 coats of clear paint over the flames. Been an exciting day.
I had to change my car in the last two days the scales they used were 4
grams different than the scales I used that had just been calibrated they
used an old set of scales that I had to get the cars down to 138 grams quick
from 141 grams to meat this race.
Thanks for the great axles. Weights, and other parts we got from you, I
think that is what did it this was a heck of a lot faster group this was the
1st 2nd and 3rd place people from the whole city now we go to regional
races.

Just an update after the district race today. First of all it is an open district race for
any boy in the three county area, this is not a championship of pack winners. There
were about 100 boys entered in 5 divisions based upon school grade. We took first in
Tiger with no losses and the closest car being a car length behind on a 40 ft track.
We also took first in the Webelo II division with no losses, a little closer but not
much. With the final 15 moving on to district championships. We won a heat with
both cars but both boys were eliminated in the same heat which took it from 7 boys
to 4.......Vary close to making the finals, final 7 out of 100!!!!. The good news is that
the boys were happy to be able to compete at an equal level. They are looking
forward to the pack races on the 19th and feel good about their chances. Will update
you after the race then. Thanks for your help and insights.

Just wanted to let you know that we had our cub scouts pinewood derby
race this past weekend and our car came in 1st place in the tiger cubs and
4th place over all for the entire pack! We thought this was a great showing

We just had our church race yesterday. I built a car for my grandson and
used the wheels I purchased from you. His car was lighting fast, it was
close in a couple of heats but no one came close to beating him. He took
first place in the children's division and over all FASTEST car from the
whole church.

Thought I'd let you know that your regulation wheels and polished axles
took a 1st in the Open class and a 3rd overall today in our Pinewood
Derby, and were only beaten by two cars with extended wheelbase, which
are illegal in our council race.

Thanks for the great axles. I bought sets for my two son's first pinewood
derby. I followed the tips about weight near the back, wheel alignment, and
using graphite but I think these axles gave us the extra edge. They won
Tigers and Cub Scouts for our town (about 15 cars) and are on their way to
the district races now.

We just came home from our Pack Pinewood Derby! My boys won 1st
place in each of their Dens and my Webelo won 1st place in the whole
pack! My Bear would have won 2nd in the pack, but they raced him
against my webelo too early, and my webelo won. Both boys are so very
happy and we can't thank you enough for sharing your brilliance with us
and our boys.
PS: Their cars were so fast that it was impossible for anyone to beat them!

I Wanted to give you the news on our races that were held last Friday
night. There were several different packs with over 40 cars at this derby.
My son finished First Place within his pack (Tigers) and apex. 6th overall.
The smile on his face during the race as well as when he went to pick up
his trophy was well worth it.

I WON FIRST PLACE!!! That car was FAAAST! Seriously, everyone was
like "where is the weight?" They could not believe it was so fast. Awesome
car! I'll be coming back next year. This was for our ADULT Pinewood

third kept him from coming in first. It may have been a lane difference
thing. He also won coolest car in his division. Needless to say he had a

I purchased the speed wheels, polished axles, lead tape and alignment tool.
All worked wonderfully. My son was able to shape and paint his car and I
was able to set the wheels. He came in 4th out of 40 cars, terrific for his
first car and we go to the district races next month.

hey just got back to the house a while ago from the pack race. We won the
den race and was 1st runner up in overall pack race. The wheels and axles
were great.

We had our race this evening, finally, after the Jan. 22nd snow delay. My
son's car took first for the tigers and first for the entire pack! His was the
only car that finished first in every race and did not have to have a single
tie breaker.

We just got back from Pinewood. After years of disappointment, we not
only won for rank (Webelo) but actually won first place overall in the
Pack! Incredible. And the look on my son's face will last a lifetime! We
now have an invite to district pinewood and we'll see what happens there.
And the best part of the whole thing is I still had my son sand the car down
a bit, paint it, and put the wheels on etc. So he could have a hand in the
final product. Once again -- thanks. After being laid off 2 weeks ago, we
needed a lift -- and this
was perfect.

I purchased the wedge per-weighted body. Out of 24 cars in the derby, we
took 1st in every race we were in and were overall champion by .25 of a
second over the second place car.

Just wanted to send you a quick note of thanks, we had our
Pinewood Derby last night. Our car came in first place! The car smoked
the competition. The look of joy and pride on my son's face when his car
came in first in every heat and when our Cub Master handed him that
trophy, is priceless. Thanks so much for helping this single Mom and one
very proud Cub Scout (Bear) not only spend time together painting and
assembling a car, but also winning! Next month it is our District Pinewood
Derby, we just may win that too!

Just a word to let you know that Sebastian placed fourth in his district. He
came in third in his pack and he beat out the first and second place
finisher. The first place finisher came in first every time. Thanks for your

BTW, the car was a rocket for the heats. He won three of them. Then,
mysteriously, the Scouts that were transporting them to the second track
must have picked the car up (with a squeeze) by the front wheels. After we
got it back it was easy to see the tow-in on the front end. From then on, we
did not do well. Wanted to say something but I am sure it would have
seemed like sour grapes. We did get the Most Attention to Detail award ...
Even though we pulled one of those last minute paint jobs that was almost
still tacky to the touch at race time. Hey, keep selling these things ... We
will be backing earlier next year.
Sorry, but we did not tell anyone when the basic kit came from!

pinewood derby car, I did not know what we were going to do for this years
pinewood derby because Tommy's dad is deployed with the military and I

I've been meaning to write to you...we did great, we got
2nd place, but it was so close it looked like a tie. If they had
switched tracks/cars and run the race, again we may have won, because we
had beaten that car in another heat. My son was so excited.

Hope this finds you doing well. Wanted to give you the
news on our races that were held last night. There were six or
seven different packs with over 80 cars at this derby. Jonathan finished
second within his pack. We do not have the official overall finish of the car
out of the 80+ but believe it was 5th. The difference between first and fifth
was a few 1,000th of a sec. The only cars that were faster than ours had a
longer wheelbase. We were 5.1 oz at weigh in and did have to drill out
some. I allowed Jonathan to do the drilling (which scared the daylights out
of me) and I think that more than completed his sense of helping build the
car. I know he enjoyed the painting, sanding, and decaling, but.... His eyes
light up when he tells the story about the drilling of the car to make the
weight. Jonathan and I had a lot of fun with this. I cannot thank you
enough for your help and guidance. I am including a few pictures for you.
